2010 Cooralook Pinot Gris

This wine has floral aromas with nuances of exotic fruits including lychees, guava and melons. These characters transcend to the palate which is soft with a bright and refreshing finish

It’s a mouth-revving, lively Riesling that’s light on its feet. You may detect notes of lemon sorbet, bath salts and white lilies layered with spices from your favorite childhood pie shop… guess that depends on your childhood. But you can’t deny its raciness and versatility, sidling up suggestively to food that’s both sweet and spicy. Its intensity will slap you in the face, the oodles of length will have you scrambling for more.

“The Alliance” is a blend of 70% Marsanne and 30% Viognier that is a perfect union of varieties that share a common heritage and show a natural affinity for each other. All the fruit is sourced from Rutherglen Estates hillside vineyards. Marsanne provides the fresh, fruity and citrus backbone of the wine, with Viognier adding richness and intensity to both the palate and the nose. Lemon butter, flint and mineral notes are complemented by white blossom and honeysuckle, and some apricot kernel characters. A delicious wine with great freshness, aromatic strength and length of flavor.
