The label is a yearly art competition and $2.00 per bottle sold goes to the Pegaus Project to help autistic children

La Flor Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine offers a ruby-color with violet hues and an aroma of spices reminding of eucalyptus and pepper. It also offers plum jam notes that grant an interesting complexity accompanied by vanilla an tobacco aromas imparted by oak. Once in the mouth, it is perceived round, with a pleasant concentration and soft tannins granting structure and good volume. It’s finish is elegant and persistent.

Quivira is a fully functioning Biodynamic farm complete with animals, vegetable gardens and Biodynamic preparations prepared on site. Their philosophy is simple. “We don’t make wine here at Quivira. We grow wine.”
Ruggedly enigmatic and powerfully built, Zinfandel is the reigning celebrity of Dry Creek Valley. Dark and complex, the 2008 Quivira Dry Creek Zin has an undeniably appealing personality. A wine of great depth of flavor with juicy red and black fruit aromas, the mid-palate is plump, framed by supple tannins that add finesse to the lingering finish. Great with anything off the grill and especially good with pizza and spicy cuisine.
And the label…that’s Ruby the pig. Ruby, who has been a resident of Quivira since she was a young piglet, greets all visitors to the winery, and has become a celebrity unto her own right.
White Oak Merlot
Bright fruit notes of black cherry along with vanilla, coffee & chocolate reveal extra demensions of depth and complexity. Rich & supple, with firm but integrated tannins.

McManis Merlot
Deep Garnet in color, with fruit aromas of Blackberry, Blueberry, Raspberry and Cassis are joined by notes of Vanilla, Hazelnut, Milk Chocolate and Caramel – from months of oak aging. The wine is soft and round in the mouth, and the abundance of fruit present in the nose is replicated and lingers in the clean finish.

After trying out several organic vineyards over the years, we are focusing in on Lodi Zinfandel. Here, one will find a wine that intersperses white pepper on the tongue with a medium weighted body– a very adaptable wine that can be can be enjoyed with all types of food or on its own. This is not a high alcohol, prune and jam job but rather a blackberry classic style Zinfandel profile.
It’s great with tomato sauce dishes.

Ongoing vintages have added a healthy percentage (30%) of Mendocino grapes which bring the leaner mouth feel and more focused flavors of the region to the mix. A blend of Fresno Syrah and Carignan and Mendocino Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine should age well for a few years…if it lasts
