This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Merlot offers up uncomplicated pleasure. Gorgeous ripe red fruit, with cherry, pepper, cinnamon spice, and cocoa flavors. Food friendly with red sauce pasta, burgers, ribs, pizza and comfort foods.

The practice of blending more than one variety of wine has been practiced in Europe for centuries and is the basis for our Cab-Shiraz. This full-bodied, yet very approachable blend is loaded with flavors of blackberries, cherries, currants, and plums; with a lengthy finish and just a hint of oak.

If  you like Cotes du Rhone, give Old Fart a try.  This wine is no joke, a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah.  The Grenache makes it fresh and juicy while the syrah gives the wine structure and great balance.  It is best described as a robust and spicy red that is absolutely unforgettable.

 Hidden Horse Red

 Initally this wine screams of blackberry & fresh ripe Bing cherries.  The nose opens with rich aromas of dark fruits, tobacco & white pepper followed by flavors of blackberry, cherry and vanilla framed in toasty oak.  This Bordeaux Style blend spends 29 months in French & American Oak.  

2010 Chalk Art Dry Rose’

This dry rose’ is made from 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 64% Cabernet Franc.   It opens with aromas of strawberry, raspberry and hints of floral followed by flavors of cranberry, strawberry & rhubard with nice firm acid on the finish.

The label is a yearly art competition and $2.00 per bottle sold goes to the Pegaus Project to help autistic children

A beautiful red blend from Oregon.  This wine has a core of rich, lush berry from the Syrah. The Zinfandel provides spice, tannin and structure. The Pinot Noir brings flowers, earth and elegance. It all adds up to a luscious, juicy, easy-drinking mouthful of red wine.

Chile’s Valle Central is just the place for super high-quality Merlot, and look at that price! Chocolate notes and supple, vevety tannins join plum and berry hints for a mouthfilling red. According to Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “All of Terra Andina’s wines are worthy of recommendation.” (04/09)

This wine offers a ruby-color with violet hues and an aroma of spices reminding of eucalyptus and pepper.  It also offers plum jam notes that grant an interesting complexity accompanied by vanilla an tobacco aromas imparted by oak.  Once in the mouth, it is perceived round, with a pleasant concentration and soft tannins granting structure and good volume.  It’s finish is elegant and persistent.

Bright fruit notes of black cherry along with vanilla, coffee & chocolate reveal extra demensions of depth and complexity. Rich & supple, with firm but integrated tannins.

Deep Garnet in color, with fruit aromas of Blackberry, Blueberry, Raspberry and Cassis are joined by notes of Vanilla, Hazelnut, Milk Chocolate and Caramel – from months of oak aging. The wine is soft and round in the mouth, and the abundance of fruit present in the nose is replicated and lingers in the clean finish.

Merlot 2008

Villa San-Juliette has produced a superior Merlot that is ruby red in color and aged for 18 months in French oak. Supported by firm, but silky tannins, this wine has complex mineral and rich briary aromas of blackberry, raspberry and black currant, skillfully balanced with the succulent flavors of red berries and plum.

Sulfite Free, Organic

After trying out several organic vineyards over the years, we are focusing in on Lodi Zinfandel. Here, one will find a wine that intersperses white pepper on the tongue with a medium weighted body– a very adaptable wine that can be can be enjoyed with all types of food or on its own. This is not a high alcohol, prune and jam job but rather a blackberry classic style Zinfandel profile.

It’s great with tomato sauce dishes.

Ongoing vintages have added a healthy percentage (30%) of Mendocino grapes which bring the leaner mouth feel and more focused flavors of the region to the mix. A blend of Fresno Syrah and Carignan and Mendocino Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine should age well for a few years…if it lasts
