Hecula is a single vineyard selection of 100% Monastrell, 50% tank aged and 50% aged in French oak.  Exhibiting aromas of toasty black fruits with milk chocolate in the background, this is a super-rich effort with terrific depth and concentration for its humble price.

Thick, dense and opulent on the palate, it has gobs of savory black fruit, licorice and spice notes.  This wine has a nice lengthy finish.  This is one to buy by the case!

A medium-bodied wine with strawberry and cherry fruits that are accented with delicate notes of green herb, dusty soil, leather and spice.

Baciami means “Kiss Me” and so appropriate for this sweet, but not at all sappy wine made from 100% Albana grown in the DOCG region of Romagna. 

This wine reveals powerful but elegant flavors, with plummy and blackberry hints. A wonderful butterscotch and spicy notes are integrated by the subtle notes of vanilla that come from the oak aging. A full-bodied wine, with ripe tannins and voluptuous mid-palate and a long, enjoyable finish.

The aromas are a mix of bright berry fruit, plums, florals and a background of herbs and wild thyme. The palate is complex and supple with red berry, plum-stone, cherry fruit characters and floral notes. Fine sandy tannins and supporting acidity draw the wine into a long finish.

Aromas of black currant and spice accompany a deep garnet color to introduce this stylish Cabernet Sauvignon. The generous palate offers  ripened black fruist framed with bittersweet cocoa and hints of tobacco and earth. Fine, ripe tannins and subtle mineral notes grace a lenghty finish.

Highly concentrated black fruit dominated by blackberries, black cherries, crushed black currants, huckleberries, intense dry extract and gobs of melted licorice. The midpalate reveals even more spices with underlying aniseed, supple tannins and minerals going into a powerful and long finish that has tons of fruit and vanilla-laced oak references to the end.

The nose and palate are a delicate mix of fruit characters; perfumed raspberries, peach, and poached quince. The palate extends to a juicy, fleshy texture with confectionary flavors of strawberries and cream and finishes with spicy, cloves, and nutmeg.

Huge berry fruit, spicy nutmeg and chocolate characters fill the palate.  The oak is well balanced with acidity leading to a long finish of persistent fruit, fine grained tannins and cool climate mint notes.  A full bodied wine.

This wine has red berries, white plums, minerals, licorice and spices on the palate.  It has a long persistence that brings back the fruits on the finish.  Twelve months in American & French oak barrels.

This limited production Barbera is made of grapes from 45 year old vines from the small vineyard Villa Lisa in the region of Costigliole of Asti.  It has a delicate ethereal fragrance and a well-balanced, velvety-round, full bodied taste.  A fine accoumpaniment to antipasti, red meats, chicken and cheeses.

Deep ruby red, with light burgundy reflections. Bouquet is full and intense, with notes of small wild berries and pleasing scents of noble wood, vanilla and cocoa. The palate is dry, well structured, austere and elegant; good harmony between the tannic and acid components and those responsible for softness (alcohol and glycerine); excellent persistence on the palate.
