From this wild land of mountains and forests, alive with history and passion, comes this Chianti Classico Riserva

This Chianti Classico Riserva has floral notes of violets and irises on the nose, with hints of earth and vines. The palate is dominated by dark, lush plums and ripe black cherries, with a slight hint of mushrooms, enveloped in soft, velvet tannins with a balanced tingle of acidity. The wine finishes with the classic Chianti Classico signature of dark chocolate and tobacco, with lingering hints of orange peel.

Picada 15 owes it’s name to one of the ancient roads of dust and stone that cross the arid landscapes of Patagonia, and which winds through the vineyard in San Patricio del Chanar.

This wine is fresh and expressive, each variety express its unique Patagonian personality.  Deep ruby red color.  Aromas of green pepper from the Cabernet Sauvignon together with red berries from the Merlot, and a burgundy twist.  A pleasant easy drinking wine.

Vinification: In order to extract the maximum potential of the grapes, they are macerated for 4 to 5 days at a temperature of 46-50°F. Fermentation is then done at 78°F with a constant remontage and delestages to maintain the concentration of the wine.

Ageing: 3 months in French oak barrels.

Beaujolais Nouveau fans around the world can now take their first sips of the 2011 vintage.

The wine is purple-magenta in color, with aromas of fresh dark fruit. The fruit-forward flavor shows off notes that are darker and more intense than the 2010 Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau. The wine has silky flavors of fresh boysenberry, blackberry, plum, blueberry and raspberry, with a smooth mouthfeel and crisp finish.

2009 Cooralook Pinot Noir

An elegant Pinot Noir that exhibits aromas of fresh strawberry, raspberry and red cherry. This well structured wine with soft middle palate leaves you with a velvety silk mouth feel

Mariposa is made of Bracchetto grapes.  Its distinctive rose leaf color and wild roses scent is completed by a delicate but vivid taste of rose canina and raspberries.

Primarily Syrah and Grenache  with small amounts of Mouvedre mixed in.  This is a great value wine.  It bursts forth with dark fruit flavors but has a nice soft but dry finish.

A dense red with a pronounced purple tint. The nose is expressive and complex, rich in fresh and ripe fruit aromas, especially red cherry and morello cherry, with a touch of spice. The attack, on the fruit, is rich and supple, the mid-palate full and fruity on silky tannins. Showing attractive length on the palate, it has a fresh and spicy finish that expresses all the typically character of the merlot and the very high quality of the vintage.

This blended red is a prime example of the exquisite style produced from the
stony soils of Hawkes Bay. Intense blackberry and blackcurrant aromas with hints
of truffle and cedary notes. The palate shows blackberry, plum and cassis
supported by firm but approachable ripe tannins. The oak influence is subtle and
provides spicy notes and great structure. 2007 was a stunning vintage for Hawkes
Bay, and our classic Bordeaux varieties excelled beyond all expectations. Open
bunches with small berries ensured great fruit concentration and firm tannins.

Grapes from the Triangle vineyard on Maraekakaho Road were selected for this
Stone Paddock Syrah due to their vast flavour and aroma profile. Dried herbs,
white pepper and savoury notes are the initial characters present on the nose,
but with the introduction of air the wine opens up to reveal characters of
raspberry, red cherry and five spice. The palate is beautifully balanced with
ripe fruit flavours of plum, wild berries and mineral notes. This Syrah is
finely structured combining both savoury characters and fruit sweetness.

If  you like Cotes du Rhone, give Old Fart a try.  This wine is no joke, a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah.  The Grenache makes it fresh and juicy while the syrah gives the wine structure and great balance.  It is best described as a robust and spicy red that is absolutely unforgettable.

This classically styled Syrah is rich and full-bodied, with notes of blackberries, black cherries, and blueberries.  The subtle savory spices round out the ripe fruit making it an excellent wine for roasted meats and vegetables with herbs.
