For six generations and over 150 years, the family has farmed their estate vineyard at the crossroads of the Sonoma Valley, Carneros and Napa Valley appellations. They focus on making small lots of ultra-premium wines from this distinctive and historic property.

The Mountain Cuvee has soft, rich aromas and flavors of juicy cherry, plum and blackberry, laced with milk chocolate and and roasted coffee bean.  This lush blend is primarily Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.  Sustainably farmed

 Deep, inky purple, with aromas of jammy blueberry, vanilla, caramel, and a touch of baking spice. Concentrated, soft fruit flavors of dark raspberry and blackberry sorbet are well balanced by notes of brown sugar and cedar contributed from the French oak aging. Well rounded with subtle secondary flavors as well, dark chocolate and cinnamon stick both emerge in the mid-palate. Big and full-bodied, the rich mouthfeel is enhanced by a solid backbone of tannins that finish soft, even in the wine’s youth due to minimal fining. The berry flavors linger in the finish, and balanced natural acidity makes you want to go back for another taste. With its moderate alcohol and excellent concentration, this varietal is clearly the flagship of The Crusher.

More ruby in color then purple. On the nose, I get aromas of dried fruits–cherries and blueberries. Walnuts and dill. Lots of layers on this one. The fruit is actually pretty subtle, dried plums and cherry. The walnuts are pretty prevalent in this one, along with the dill and some white pepper. The finish is peppery and smooth

A lighter purple color that can be seen through. The nose opens up with cherry cola, barnyard and earth. Medium acid with soft tannins. The palate concurs with the nose, although there are strawberry flavors on the tart finish. A little more earth driven than a typical California Pinot Noir. Hints of all-spice, vanilla, cinnamon and rosemary on the finish

Pinot likes an even cooler spot than Chardonnay. Pinot Noir grapes are thin skined and don’t care much for mid-day heat, so the vineyards are planted closer to the source of cool Pacific air and higher on the hillsides, thereby protecting and enhancing the subtle Pinot fruit flavors. Santa Maria hills provide such a location. This delicate feminine Pinot is made in the best traditional style. Our Pinot is perfect for casual sipping and pairs with a wider variety of food than any other wine

Our 2010 Pinot Noir delivers a light, elegant palate and lovely perfume of strawberries, cloves, tea leaves, and violets. Its vibrant flavors of raspberries and cherries are highlighted by notes of vanilla and sandalwood, which makes for a nuanced wine that is both lively and versatile

Charles & Charles Winery – A collaboration founded in 2008 between Food & Wine Magazine 2009 Winemaker of the year, Charles Smith (K Vintners, Charles Smith Wines) and Charles Bieler (Three Thieves, BIELER Pere et Fils, Sombra mezcal). The label is an abstract play on the American Flag done by the well loved and historic Nashville, TN poster shop, Hatch Show Print.

50% cabernet sauvignon and 50% syrah. All the fruit is grown in the Wahluke Slope AVA (Columbia Valley) by the Milbrandt family. The wine is dark, almost black, with a brooding nose of blackberry, cranberry, tobacco and sweet oak. The fruit carries through on the palette where you also find great texture, soft tannins and a long finish. The cabernet sauvignon was raised in 1-3 year old French oak barrels and the syrah was fermented and aged in stainless steel

Smooth and medium-bodied with a fresh, black cherry aroma, and hints of herbal spices. Aged in oak, our Merlot develops graceful fruit flavors in the cellar, complemented by subtle shadings of vanilla and toast from the oak. Approachable now, Vampire Merlot has a long, rich finish and is perfectly balanced for additional bottle aging.

Deep garnet with crimson hues. Ripe, dark black cherry, chocolate and currant complement the spicy, peppery notes and hints of toasted sweet oak on the nose.  Jammy dark fruit accompanied by soft velvety tannins, followed with a long rich finish on the palate.

This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Merlot offers up uncomplicated pleasure. Gorgeous ripe red fruit, with cherry, pepper, cinnamon spice, and cocoa flavors. Food friendly with red sauce pasta, burgers, ribs, pizza and comfort foods.

The practice of blending more than one variety of wine has been practiced in Europe for centuries and is the basis for our Cab-Shiraz. This full-bodied, yet very approachable blend is loaded with flavors of blackberries, cherries, currants, and plums; with a lengthy finish and just a hint of oak.

After years of playing second fiddle to the so called “King” Cabernet, Zinfandel has finally become trendy, and in Lodi is the undisputed champion among champions. This Zinfandel fruit was hand selected from the first vineyard John Van Ruiten planted over 50 years ago and is among the families most prized grapes.  2008 Old Vine Zinfandel is packed full of blackberry, cherry and blueberry jam with barrel flavors contributing aromas of coffee, cedar, and finishing with anise.

This wine is dry, smokey and absolutely savory.  Aged 22 months in American Oak   The wine pairs well with grilled meats and cheeses.  It is ”Texas in a bottle”

 Hidden Horse Red

 Initally this wine screams of blackberry & fresh ripe Bing cherries.  The nose opens with rich aromas of dark fruits, tobacco & white pepper followed by flavors of blackberry, cherry and vanilla framed in toasty oak.  This Bordeaux Style blend spends 29 months in French & American Oak.  

2010 Chalk Art Dry Rose’

This dry rose’ is made from 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 64% Cabernet Franc.   It opens with aromas of strawberry, raspberry and hints of floral followed by flavors of cranberry, strawberry & rhubard with nice firm acid on the finish.

The label is a yearly art competition and $2.00 per bottle sold goes to the Pegaus Project to help autistic children
