The 2007 vintage is typical of our Zinfandel from this vineyard with a deep red/purple color and vibrant black cherry fruit. The wine tin-barndisplays a firm tannic structure giving it excellent aging potential.  The wine finishes with a lovely hint of white pepper spice and toasty oak.

A wonderful blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Fermented on the skins for 28 days using Brunello yeast, it has developed complex spicy pepper, blackberry, and vanilla tones. The first year of aging is in new French oak barrels; the second year is in new American oak barrels. Our Double Barrel Aging provides rich vanilla flavors, balanced with great fruit and medium to heavy weight in its taste and mouth feel. This smooth and silky wine is a perfect complement to beef, lamb, and fowl. “Texas Champion” in its category at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

Stinger is a blend of two separate clones from two different sides of “The Knoll” Vineyard on the Margarita Ranch in the very southernstinger end of Paso Robles, where it is cooler.  The wine is very deep in color, with bright magenta to the rim.  The aroma jumps out with African violets, pomegranates and cinnamon.  The flavor is rich, dense and fresh with vibrant flavors of red plum, pomegranates and five-spice powder.  This is a wine with real flavor that hasn’t been blended away.
